I’m a career mom turned stay-at-home.  I fashioned hospital scrubs as a Registered Nurse until my daughter became a toddler. I’ve worked in Neonatal ICU’s on each coast, where I spent long hours through the night on my feet, holding my bladder and patients for endless stretches of time. Now, I sit before my MacBook, hold my bladder, and wear comfy scrub pants at length as a stay-at-home mom.

I have a profound appreciation for the nursing profession, but I knew it was time for a break once I felt the urge to clock out after viewing an episode of ER. Everything you see on the series is true. Well, sort of. Us real medical professionals also know how to properly pronounce “sternocleidomastoid” (say that 10 times Dr. Kovac).

My husband and I have an adorable little girl that looks nothing like me. Even those who know me still question if I was just an oven. I promise, I cooked her in-utero for 9 months, endured 4 months of bed rest and 20 hours of active labor. She’s mine and my DNA is there! She likes rice doesn’t she?

- Return to an immaculate home, that I had no hand in doing.

- See my daughter as a loving, intelligent, thoughtful adult.

I MUST HAVE... noodles, the remote control, vocal jazz, Ghirardelli chocolate chip brownies, air-conditioning, flip flops, alcohol swabs, and some source of caffeine.
