A Little Bit About Me:
One day I'd like to: I love two things about my job – trying new things – like launching a series; creating a new avenue to promote our shows – through blogging and viral outreach and being able to work on the series finale of a show. I had the opportunity to launch The Amazing Race and CSI so both of those experiences were incredibly exciting to me – to look back after all these years and still see these shows thriving. Most memorable by far was coordinating all the final publicity appearances for the cast of “Everybody Loves Raymond” and having them ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange. I remember Doris Roberts’ squeezing my hand right before they went out on the podium and whispering to me “Darling, do you know what you’ve done today…we’ll never forget this as long as we live.” I will never forget that moment, ever.
What Is Your Passion? I'm co-founder of www.RoleMommy.com, a virtual community for today’s busy working mothers and co-author of the book Peeing in Peace. As time-strapped women trying to balance business and babies, we felt there was a need for a website that celebrated the work life balance and also painted a realistic and humorous picture on our lives. Our mission at Role Mommy is simple: A Role Mommy knows that helping your children realize your hopes and dreams, doesn’t mean you have to give up on your own. Prior to joining CBS, I worked at several publicity agencies, handling PR for several talk shows including “The Ricki Lake Show,” “The Maury Povich Show” and “Leeza” among many, many others. I also worked with corporate clients like Johnson & Johnson; opened the very first Sony IMAX theater in New York City and handled magazine PR for Architectural Digest. After having six years of publicity experience, a former client landed a job at CBS and he brought me on board to handle publicity for our entertainment division. That was in 1996 – one month before I got married. 11 years later, I’m still married, have two kids and have never left.
